How long will a All American Refinishing refinished bathtub and ceramic tile surround last?
With proper care and maintenance, Tub refinishing can extend the useful life of your fixtures for up to 15-20 years or more. Our bonding agent creates a chemical bond between old and new surfaces, assuring you long life for your refinished tub.
How durable are refinished bathtubs?
All American uses the most technologically advanced coating available. These finishes are designed to stand up to daily use and do not require special care. However, like a newly manufactured bathtub, a refinished surface can be chipped or scratched if it is abused.
Do refinished tubs look painted?
The deep gloss of an All American refinished bathtub resembles new porcelain. In fact, most people will have a difficult time telling any difference between a new bathtub and a Miracle Method refinished tub...the Miracle Method process is that good!
How long does it take to refinish a bathtub?
A standard size bathtub, in reasonable condition, takes only 3 to 5 hours to refinish. The tub will typically be ready to use within 24 hours, or even sooner with special curing procedures.
How does refinishing compare to replacement costs?
Refinishing will almost always be a fraction of the total cost of replacing a bathtub or ceramic tile surround. Replacing a bathtub and surround can easily cost $3000 or more when you consider the cost of removal, plumbing, setting new tile, etc. Refinishing can often save you up to 75% compared to the cost of replacement!
Is white the only color available?
All American Refinishing can match any existing color or create almost any custom color of your choosing. We also offer Natural Accents™, a stone look in a variety of colors and textures for countertops, vanities and tile surrounds.
Can All American Refinishing fix chips, scratches and cracks?
Small chips and cracks can usually be repaired during the preparation stage of the refinishing process. If it is just a single chip, we can often fill and refinish just the damaged area. With careful color matching, the repaired chip will be practically invisible.
Is refinishing just for bathtubs?
All American Refinishing can refinish a variety of surfaces including fiberglass, porcelain, acrylics, cultured marble, ceramic tile, Corian™ as well as Formica™ and other laminates.
How does refinishing work on kitchen countertops?
Formica™, Corian™ and tile countertops can all be updated and made to look like new with All American Refinishing’s refinishing process. Our Natural Accents™ stone look finish is especially attractive and durable. Our countertop finishes come in a variety of colors and textures, and are easy to clean, but are all significantly lower in cost compared to replacement.
How does refinishing compare to bathtub liners?
Bathtub liners are plastic covers that are fitted over old or damaged bathtubs. Their cost is at least twice as expensive as Miracle Method refinishing and can take up to 3 to 4 weeks from ordering to installation. Liners can leak and create mold problems.
